Chicago Sears Tower

May 7th, 2008. Visiting Chicago once again. This time we climbed to the top of the Sears Tower. Mada likes the elevaor music so much that she shows us some moves ;)

Tour of Computer Science Department

May 4th, 2008. We were in Lafayette, Indiana at the Computer Science Department of Purdue University. My brother-in-law was showing us his PhD project.

Some of us had no clue what he was talking about, some of us were cranky... all were tired and some were even jet-lagged.

Keukenhof, spring 2008. Together with my parents, we are going to visit this gorgeous garden. There are awesome flower arrangements, windmill, fountains and lots of people around them. Lovely sunny weekend!

Good Bye, Thailand - episode 13

This is the last episode, the lucky 13, of the Thailand holiday. Amazingly, it only took me almost 9 months to edit this holiday... Much like a baby... and still, it's finally finished :)

I used the Komika Title font for the final credits.

So, here it is: Last day in Thailand, we don't do anything but eating. Then, back in Amsterdam, we exchange some holiday impressions, in the "welcoming Dutch spring"...

Komika Title Font

I came across this great free font at
www.fontspace.com/apostrophic-lab/komika-title

I was looking for a title font that would stick out a bit for the ending titles of the Thailand holiday movie. I think it will look really good ;)

Looks a bit like the font they use in Heroes...

Thailand XII - Back to Bangkok

Here is another episode from the video travel log (... or should I say VLog? uhhh-uhhh) ;) of our holiday earlier this year. This time we are returning to Bangkok from the island Ko Chang.

Boy I miss those days. Feels so good being in holiday, warm country, far away, out of the hospital (thus feeling good again).

Lovely bowling alley at Siam Paragon's top floor where we had a bit of disco bowling fun.

O vreme nebună nebună

Despre Olanda se spune că are o climă marină cu veri răcoroase şi ierni temperate. În cei 8 ani de când sunt aici, nu am mai întâlnit aşa schimbări de vreme ca în acest Noiembrie.

În interval de o zi a plouat, nins, ieşit soarele şi a picat grindină. Totul pe un fundal romantic cu vânturi de 100 km/h care fac geamurile să fluiere şi îndoaie indicatoarele de circulaţie pe stâlpii de susţinere.

Videoclipul este filmat dimineaţă de pe propriul balcon, după o scurtă ropotă de ploaie cu bulgări mici de zăpadă... nici măcar grindină nu o pot numi.

Mă gândesc la cele 23 de grade din San Jose, California... Oare o să-mi fie dor de câte o zăpadă odată ce voi fi acolo? Vorba aia... iarba e întotdeauna mai verde în curtea vecinului.

Vremea, lumea, toţi au înebunit... Ingioi!

Vizitam turnul Sears in Chicago... Se pare ca in fiecare zi mergem la Chicago... :)

Lui Mada ii place muzica din turn asa ca ne arata citeva miscari :)

Chicago la Acvariu

Am facut o scurta vizita in Chicago, cam la 120 de mile de Lafayette si am vizitat Planetariumul Adler si Acvariul Shedd.

Filmuletul imortalizeaza protagonistii pe marginea lacului Michigan, inainte sa intre la acvariu.

Inauntru insa o gramada de pesti, testoase, caimani, caluti de mare, rechini, etc... Am asistat si la o mica demostratie de dresaj de delfini.
